Unicorn Season is a tragicomedy about how heteronormativity ruins everything – including polyamorous dating.
The game tells a story of three dates for three, is springled with magical (sur)realism and uses comedy to reflect serious topics.
Unicorn Season is part of a series of queerfeminist live action role playing games designed on a working fund from Finnish Cultural Foundation.

About the Design
There are some elements of magical (sur)realism in the game. For example three dates happen at a same time, in three different cafes, with a shared counter and a smoking spot.
This game uses humor as an approach to different ways polyamory can go wrong, especially heteronormativity and poor communication. Since the topics are both real and nasty the comedy in this game becomes quite tragic and black. The humor is pointed at heteronormativity and poor communication.
